We bought new pins recently - pins I had never seen before. Linda brought some in to show us, and I was so impressed with them, I ordered a bunch to carry in the shop. Now what, may you ask, could possibly be new about a pin? Aren't they all they same?

That's where you would be wrong. These pins are completely different from any other pins you've seen- they may just change the way you think about pinning.

They look like a cross between a hairpin and a tuning fork. They have two prongs and the joining tip is curved. How does this benefit you, especially in bra-making? Think about it.

What's the worst thing about working with bra fabrics? They slip and slither and regular pins don't hold the edges together - they still slide away from the under layer. The shaft of the regular pin is quite large and if dull, can snag or damage the fine fabrics we use.

The shaft of the fork pins is so slender it glides through fabrics and with its double holding power holds the fabrics where they need to be until you are ready to sew over them. The curved join allows the pinned seam to lay flat on the table and also to remove them from the fabric without a lot of fuss. They are easier to find and pick out of the carpet as well (for those of us that have carpet where we sew).

I've been using Clover products for a long time. I don't think there's anything in their line that doesn't qualify as top-notch, and the Clover Fork Pins are no exception.
