Join the colleagues you’ve never met on the first ever Bra-making Convention on the High Seas. We’ll spend eight fun-filled days and nights in February 2010 cruising the beautiful islands and waters of the Caribbean. This is the chance of a lifetime to come and share your bra-making experiences, plus three full days of seminars with projects and topics guaranteed to make you a better bra-maker.

We “could” have had our first convention at a fancy hotel somewhere, but then we checked the hotel rates for a group. Believe it or not, the cruise is cheaper! At an incredible price of less than $230 per day (and yes, that’s Canadian, ladies!) you can enjoy a totally tax-deductible vacation and business convention all at the same time.

We will be visiting St. Maarten (Dutch Antilles), St. Thomas (British Virgin Islands), San Juan (Puerto Rico) - that’s like visiting THREE European countries in one week! In addition, as a special treat, we will spend a day in the sun and surf on a private island for complete relaxation and rejuvenation. What are we doing the other three days? Sewing and learning new techniques for bra-making! We’ve arranged for a room aboard the ship for our classroom. You’ll be able to come and sew as you please.

Any professional bra-maker, Certified Teacher, or someone fanatically interested in Bra-making is welcome to come along. If you want to bring your spouse, your sister, your best friend or whoever, that’s OK, too. The prices are based on 2 people to a room so you can room with whoever you like. If you have a third person, we can arrange a third person in the room (even more economical). If your room mate isn’t a bra-maker, they will need to entertain themselves elsewhere on the ship! Don’t worry - there is LOTS to do aboard ship (it’s a floating city!). If you’ve always wanted to cruise and your husband won’t or can’t, this is your chance to be with fellow enthusiasts for a fun-filled “girls week out”.

We’ve got one class penciled in for a swimsuit class (you have to have a new suit for the cruise!), another class on making a bra-in-a-negligee, and still another on all the new techniques and tricks we’ve seen in ready-to-wear over the last year or so. These are all new tricks that you’ve been unlikely to see. We are also planning a round-table so you have a chance to discuss business and meet other bra-makers. We’re still planning the full roster of workshops and will post them as soon as they are finalized.

We have a number of shore excursions planned, which are optional. You can stay on the ship and never get off, or you can tour the islands as you wish. Some of the shore excursions include helmet diving in a coral reef, lagoon kayaking, an eco-hike in emerald forests, a walking tour of old San Juan, a tour of a rum distillery, an exhilarating ride on a flight line 2400 ft. above the pristine waters of the private island, or a trip to a butterfly farm. That’s just for fun. We’ll also go to some local fabric stores where you can add to your stash!

If you are interested, or wish to book a cabin for this incredible trip, please contact me at Bra-makers. (905-538-1396) I'll send you a brochure with even more details.
